FootyTube

I have often wondered where was the best place to catch up on the football highlights from the weekend as i rarely get chance to catch match of the day or any live games anymore. I have tried BBC iPlayer and Youtube, but the BBC do not re-show match of the day on iPlayer and Youtube’s videos are often fake or removed.
today i was looking for the highlights from the champions league game between Manchester United and Wolfsburg that was played on Tuesday night and i stumbled upon the Footytube site. The site seems to be a collection of games and highlights featuring many teams taken from a selection of different sources (the game i wanted was from daily motion) all collected together into different easy to search categories.
If you like football and need to catch up on a missed game check Footytube out.

Mobile ‘Phones’

I will be on the market for a new mobile phone very soon as my current 18 month contract runs out. I have an LG Viewty at the moment and can’t say that i am too impressed with it, but it does the job (after sending back one for dead pixels). This has got me thinking about what i want to get next. I got the Viewty when it was pretty new and it looked all singing and all dancing with its touch screen and 5mp camera, but is that what i really want in a phone? I have recently been looking at changing my phone contract and getting a simple pay as you go phone, that just makes calls, sends texts and does what a phone should do, instead of having a small computer that also makes calls.
Now, i’m not against technology in anyway, but I have recently had a play on ’smart’ phones from Apple and HTC and yes, they do a million cool things and i can go on the Internet at any time or watch movies etc etc, but they are not really very good at being phones. There seems to be so many other things in the way, stopping the new smart phone from doing the simple things well and it has me thinking about going ‘old skool’ and buying a Nokia 3210 or something that is just a phone.
I know i am not alone in my feeling as today i had this sent to me, i think it sums up what i have been trying to complain about…
