The heat is on.
Global warming, a symptom of climate change has become the hot topic of 2009.
Nothing Interesting took a roam around the web and discovered huge differences of opinion as to the cause, effects and even if it actually exists.
You simply cannot get away from the constant arguments about whether greenhouse gas emmissions and carbon foot prints (don’t mention the fellow with the pencil legs) are causing climatic changes resulting in global warming that is having far reaching effects around the world.
Even planning a holiday now requires consideration. Much is written about the impact of flying on the planet and niche markets are opening up to promote ecotourism - followed by the inevitable ecotourism awards.
Initiatives to offset carbon emmissions are being set up to help ease the pain of adding to global warming and the resulting catastrophes that are forecast. You can make a donation to organisations that are working to reduce greenhouse gasses. As well as giving a charity donation you can sponsor one of the many events during Earth Week - check out this justgiving page for climate change
Even simple car hire firms are bidding for business for those searching for eco car hire. How these marketing people can keep a straight face beggars belief. There is a fair case for suggesting that those thatonly drive occasionally would do better both environmentally and finacially if they were tohire a car on the occassions they needed to travel. This would be especially relevant for those living in large cities that are well served by public transport such as London in the UK and major cities in Europe. Car hire is also an affordable way to check out different vehicles if you are thinking about buying a new model and comparing cars.
You can lend your suppor to the upcoming Put People First campaign rally by signing up the the G20 rally where you are asked to stomp your feet for the G20 leaders who are meeting at the G20 London summit on 2nd April.
So if you have nothing interesting on first weekend in April get involved.

I turned on the TV this morning and what did I see? GMTV! Much to my disgust, it’s still on. I even, horror of horrors, saw Mr Motivator on there! Now I know that the country is really going down the pan, if they have to resort to UK’s most terrifying keep-fit nutter to boost their ratings.
Obviously the loss (?) of Fiona Phillips has hit them hard in the goolies, but surely they have more brain-numbing toss to throw at us than Derek and his scarily tight cycling shorts. They still have the rest of their ’stars’ to provide us with daily truckloads of Celebrity gossip, awful pop music and Lorraine Kelly. Why bring back Mr Motivator? Was it because the McDonalds he worked in was closed down?
Why couldn’t they at least got rid of another presenter? The King of smug, Andrew Castle, could have received his ticket back to Wimbledon. Come back Richard Madeley, all is forgiven….

I’m not a huge Star Wars fan, but i do enjoy creativity, so i just loved a stop motion video sent through to me the other day.The video shows the various charaters from all 6 movies building the Millennium Falcon, out of Lego!
Apart from now wanting the Lego set from the video, its massively entertaining, with baddies popping in every now and again to join in the fun.
Un-surprisingly the video hasbeen posted on B3ta, one of the best places to hang out and see new, funny pics and videos about anything in the world (and something not on this world).
Anyway, without further adue, heres the video.

As well as bringing us stupid people doing stupid things with dangerous object, it also gives us a slew of amature musicians playing and singing everything and anything you could think of. Hold on, that’s not that great!
OK, so not everything on there is good, or even average, but thanks to the creativity of Kutiman-Thru-you these amature musicians are a pleasure to listen to. Kutiman-Thru-you takes samples from a number of different YouTube videos, and creates what can only be described as brilliant music. I have listened to a number of his creations so far, and loved each one. They don’t seem to follow any one style of music, but they are all great to listen to, and the videos created along side the music are very interesting to watch.
Check out this funky tune.
You can find more of his stuff on his myspace page
