It's a bit condescending of him to state that people actually believe the glaciers wont melt and the planet will be saved if we switch off our standby lights, if that's what he thinks of people then how the hell was he elected?

The fact is - small changes in everybody'd lives will cut the greenhouse gas emissions, this can only be good for the environment. It cannot be bad. Everybody knows that human power consumption is not the only, or even the main cause of greenhouse gas emmissions but it is the easiest way for your average Joe to make a change and make a difference. It is a small step towards the slowing down of the killing of the planet, or the people on it. It's a bit irresponsible to be against these policies.

Finally, someone called BS on the climate change propaganda. Guess we're moving to Ireland if we ever want to hear the end of it. And FYI, the glaciers will melt, and they will freeze again, just as they have done for millions of years before we got here. Anyone who screams "Save the Planet" is either an idiot, or a hypocrite. The planet will do just fine, it's the people that are screwed, nothing you can do about it. Case closed.
