Audi supermini

I have just been looking through the Audi site and spotted this press release on a new “design study” from Audi paying homage to Japan’s flair for miniaturisation. The concept is for a supermini that fits in between the A3 and the A2 , its going to be powered by a combination of a more powerful version of the 1.4 TSFI petrol engine found in the current A3, and a 30kw/41ps electric motor driving the rear wheels, reducing the fuel consumption by up to 15%. With this engine combo the car will be propelled to 62 in 7.8 seconds, and reach 124mph, and still get 57.6mpg. Now that sounds pretty good to me.
