Veyron Pur Sang,

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

Bugatti have released pictures of there new limited edition Veyron, called the Pur Sang. There will only be 5 units ever made with a price tag that is still to be announced.

The Bugatti Veyron Pur Sang has a body shell made for extremely pure aluminum alloy, a carbon fiber monocoque body with no paint what so ever. This means that, as well as looking amazing, the Pur Sang will be nearly 100kgs lighter then the “normal” Veyron, giving it a power to weight ratio of 530bhp/tonne (if my maths are right lol), making the fastest car in the world even faster.

Heres some shots to drool over,

Samurai Champloo

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

Not really related to anything else previously written about on this blog, but i think i will start blogging about any good anime series that i’ve been watching, or any recormmended films that i have seen.

The first anime i’d like to mention is the series of “samurai Champloo”, this is an anime about three travelers looking for a samurai that smells sunflowers. The three travelers consist of Jin, a classicly trained and deadly samurai. Mugen, a bit of a smartass, but very strong and skilled fighter. Last is Fuu, At only 15 she is the youngest, but she has a strong will, and will never stop in her search for the samurai that smells like sunflowers.

I have watched all 26 episode before and would recormmend the series to all those who enjoy anime with lots of action and the usual humour that you find in most animes.

The offical Austrailan website for the Samurai Champloo series has loads of info on the anime, and you can buy the english dubbed box set of all 26 episodes from Ebay for about £20.

Hope you enjoy.

Zonda R

Thursday, September 13th, 2007

Came across this beast of a car while frequenting one of the many forums that i am a member of lol.

This is the new Zonda R the newest car from Pagan, after doing some digging (well, googling it and then clicking on the top result lol) i found thats its due to the debuted at the 2008 Geneva motor show and boasts a AMG tuned 6.0l v12 kicking out 750bhp at 8,000rpm. The Zonda R will be £700,000 and is built for track use, thats one hell of a track day car if you ask me. The R only shares 10% of its parts with the previous Zonda F, with a shorter wheels base and a body made out of carbon fibre.

I look forward to seeing spy shots of the car being tested on the Nurburgring soon. Now, the pics….

Cowan media player

Wednesday, September 12th, 2007

Not really touched on gadgets recently, so here a little something that i stumbled apon recently.

The iAudio D2 personal media player this the latest PMP from Cowa, featuring a 2.5 inch 16million colour touch screen display, 52 hour music playback and 10 hour video playback, and powerful top quality sound output.

I’ve recently been using my girlfriend 60gb iPod video, while this is awesome for listening to music on the way to work, i can’t watch any videos on there for very long coz the screen is too small and it hurts my eyes (not sure if this is just me ot not, lol).

This new iAudio D2 PMP looks like it ticks both video and music boxes well, with a bigger screen then the iPod i’m using, and has loads of space for music too.

Let me know what you think, has anyone tested one of these? is it better or as good as the trusty iPod??

Cheers

Eurofest

Thursday, September 6th, 2007

This Saturday see this years Eurofest at Castle Combe Circuit.

I went to this a couple years ago and it was great, loads of very nice cars, and lots of track action too. Tickets cost £8 for adults and free for under 16’s.

Some of my friends are going to have a club stand up there this year, the Genetically Modified VW stand will have a selction of top VW’s on including my mates Corrado G60 Turbo. Their all a friendly bunch, so if you see them up there say hi, i’m sure they will be more then happy to have a chat.

I was going to take my Rado up for this and go on the GMVW stand, but its not quite ready, so i will have to wait till next year now.

Trip to London, but where to eat?

Wednesday, September 5th, 2007

Well, its that time of year again where i have to wrack my brain and think of something i can buy my lovely girlfreind for her birthday. Last year we went to Newyork, so i doun’t think i’m going to top it this year some how. But she has been going on about going to London for a weekend for ages so she can go in the new Abercrombie and Fitch store that opened there about 6 months ago.

Now this is all sorted, i just need to find somewhere nice to take her for a meal or something. Searching around several different review sites i found this site called Trustedplaces, which is a socal networking site that lists thousands of (in this case) restaurants in London  and lets its users review each restaurant and give it a star rating. I think this is a great idea, now i just need to have a good look through and find one thats right for a nice romanic meal.

Cheers

Dave

Well i have been spending more time playing with the corrado G60 engine. The engine now looks like this,

Looking a lot more like it should now, and shoudln’t be too long now until its all back together and running it in can begin.

As before the full engine rebuild thread is here, loads more pictures of the pistons going in and the head going on.
